We stayed here one night and were disappointed with our room (Rm 3) which was located directly above the bar/pool room and so got no sleep until after 1am. The room itself appeared tired with parts of it also needing dusted and to be relieved of cobwebs. The ensuite bathroom was in need of refurbishment and I would have expected a shower rather than just a basic bath. On a more positive note the staff were very helpful and polite. The bar area was warm and welcoming and had a good selection of fine beers. Also the lunchtime and evening food from the restaurant was good and cooked to order. Inevitably this caused a delay in receiving one's food which at lunchtime was within an acceptable period but not so in the evening when we had to ask for our meal after waiting about 45 minutes. I understand that on this Saturday night the restaurant was very busy but still think this was too long to wait.

The accomodation , food and staff were very good and friendly bot the 'cossy' room did not have a double bed as we had been led to believe and as I am 6' 5'' tall my wife and I did not have a very comforable nights. We can deal with small rooms. This did rather spoil our stay as we both love the location ,hotel and staff.

Very friendly staff and service was good. Room clean, bed extremely comfortable and of good quality. Room needed a little updating. Disappointed in the entrance of the hotel which is in need of refurbishment, however, again as was the rest of the hotel it was clean. Restaurant was excellent and had obviously been decorated to a high standard. Food was extremely good and excellent value for money. Breakfast was good and having a separate dining room for residents for breakfast is a good idea. Comfortable residents lounge. All in all would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a couple of days break in a lovely area, hotel good value for money with friendly and welcoming staff. |

Well situated in beautiful village good directions and good parking facilities. Local area good for walking and sightseeing. Staff were VERY helpful friendly and amenable. Nothing was too much trouble. Restaurant lunch and breakfast were exceptionally good and varied in lovely surroundings. We had 2 twin rooms with lovely views 1 with shower, 1 with bathroom and separate shower. No phone and slightly old fashioned but comfortable, light and adequate size. We went into the bar at night and felt at home with locals and other guests, We will certainly be returning in the near future. |
