Waterford Manor Hotel

I thought this hotel was a real find, being very close to the airport, and to the town, but in a beautiful setting with its own fantastic grounds. The rooms were very spacious, and although a little 'tired' looking, were very clean and well kept. This is a huge building to maintain, and with the grounds as well must be a lot of hard work, and it was a shame that there were only 2 other people staying here at the time I visited with my elderly father. But I understand that it's a venue well used for weddings, and other celebrations. The dinner served in the restaurant was also excellent, with attentive and friendly service. Again a shame that it seems not to be well-frequented. All in all a real pleasure with the owner, his family and other staff being very helpful. If I come back to Waterford, as I surely will, it being my home town, I would definitely stay here again.

Looking a bit tired and could do with updating, needs a refresh or at least a coat of paint! We paid 130 euros a night for 4 of us in a family room B&B. Would not have wanted to pay more. At this cost it is value for money, but don't pay any more! Staff were friendly and helpful, although only a handful of leaflets in reception with things to do in the local area. Cleaning levels were not great, cobwebs in room etc

Set in beautiful well kept gardens on the outskirts of Waterford. This should be easy to get to when the new roads are finished. It is very close to the new B&Q store, yet far enough away that you feel you are in the country. Old country house, the Bishop of Waterfords old house. Lovely old building tastefully modernised.
