The Budapest Museum Central Hotel is a small, beautifully designed hotel located in the heart of historical center of Budapest within walking distance from the main administrative, business and cultural districts of the city and the famous shopping area of Váci Street. The hotel is located in a 19th century building directly across from the Hungarian National Museum – many of its rooms have spectacular views onto the Museum – one of Hungary’s most famous landmarks. Visitors cannot find a more central location with all major transportation hubs only minutes away.
The hotel consists of 7 standard double rooms which are large enough to accommodate an extra bed for families if necessary. Every room is equipped with satellite television, high speed Internet access, telephone, air conditioning, heated floor and of course a bathroom with shower. The rooms all have high ceilings and are painted in light colors giving our visitors a nice sense of space and light. Each room is also fully sound proofed, allowing for a relaxing time away from the noise and bustle of the city.
The hotel combines famous Hungarian hospitality, modern facilities, a central location and affordable prices making it the perfect choice for both tourists and business travelers coming to Budapest.

The hotel is located on Muzeum Korut 39, directly across the street from the Hungarian National Museum. It is approximately a 4 minute walk from the Astoria Metro station and a 1 minute walk from the Kalvin Ter Metro station. Beside the entrance to the building is the hotel’s sign. To enter the hotel guests must press the doorbell/intercom system and be buzzed in. The hotel is located on the 2nd floor of the building. The entrance is a new, wooden door with golden handle.

The hotel was very conveniently located across from a world class museum on a tree lined street and with a metro stop on the corner and bus stop outside the door. The hotel staff were very helpful and accomodating and booked me a taxi to and from the airport. Although on a busy street, the double thick windows kept out the street noise. Everything was very modern and clean. I only wish there had been a better more varied breakfast menu, but what was served was fine, but the same thing every day could get tiresome for longer stays.

Hotel is great for a couple of nights if all you want to use the hotel for is sleeping. Location is good and the staff are friendly. No food - other then a really basic breakfast and there is no english tv. Certainly not a problem for us as we took advantage of the Irish Pub and the kebab shop which are both just a few doors away!!
