The Blacksmiths Country Inn

Situated peacefully in the heart of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors, The Blacksmith’s Country Inn, at Hartoft near Pickering, is a delightfully restored 16th Century inn. Originally a farm house, this lovely old building has been carefully rebuilt using stone rescued from the ruins of Rosedale Abbey. Today, the Blacksmith’s offers 19 non-smoking en-suite bedrooms complete with welcoming open fires, a traditional English bar, a stable restaurant and a cosy lounge. Our friendly team prides itself in offering an array of carefully planned, homemade meals using fresh local produce, together with a selection of fine real ales and quality wines from around the globe, in a relaxing homely atmosphere second to none. Our idyllic location, offers the visitor the unique opportunity to explore the flora and fauna of England’s smallest national park. The Blacksmith’s is an ideal base to discover numerous walks, family activities and local attractions available within this area of outstanding natural beauty.
