This hotel is great - I can't fault it. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely staff here. We stayed here the night before the Great North Run and the staff helped us with getting to Newcastle the following day, and provided us with an early breakfast! The room was very clean, bed was so comfy and shower was lovely. I would definitely stay here again and try out the restaurant which looked really nice. |

we found the hotel a bit tricky to find due to the one way system. The check in was effortless and our car was parked for us at no extra charge. We got one of the smaller rooms (this was fairly small and quite warm with one small window and not a brilliant view and no air conditioning) the room was very comfortable and well done but would have been improved via air conditioning, there was also no information in the room,i appreciate the boutique element the owner was trying to capture but a descreet brochure with sample menus/breakfast times would have been hepfull. The hotel is well located but up a steep hill which is fine if you are active, the breakfast was lovely and relaxing. If we used the hotel again i would book one of the bigger rooms or a suite( good for a special treat or a romantic gesture) |
