I booked a room in this hotel to be in the same place as other members of my family. I did so reluctanctly after reading some of the other reviews on laterooms.com, but there didn't seem to be many alternatives in Clacton-on-Sea. The hotel's decor is fine and it is, on the whole, very clean. However, during my stay the hotel was (literally) overrun with a large group of drunken people making horrendous amounts of noise at all hours of the night, and the management didn't (as far as I know) do anything to address this. The management were apologetic the next morning and it may be that I was unlucky, but I would not stay here again; I would instead choose a small b&b that would at the very least be guaranteed to be quiet at 3 in the morning. |

on the whole the hotel was a pleasant stay. location ws great, since it was immediately in front of the sea and the beautiful gardens. the shops and stores were also a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. the staff were extremely friendly and quick to provide the service required. all in all this is a great hotel for those whom want to spend a peaceful and somewhat romantic time with their partner. |

We were given a disabled room to start off with which had stains everywhere . There was hardly any loo roll and items from previous occupier left in waste bin. The key did not work but the man on the desk was very helpful and said he would sort it out whilst we left the building for a while. When we came back the key still did not work and we requested another room. We moved into another room which was tiny. |

Food was pretty good. the only fault this hotel has is the smell from the smoking rooms made its way to the non smoking rooms. Also the sound accoustics were not that good. Clean rooms, pleasant staff, good facilities and excellent location to the town. |
