A forerunner in the luxury hotel business, the Hotel Meurice in Calais, the first of its name, exists since 1771.
Destroyed during the Second World War, the hotel was rebuilt in 1954-1955. Close to the train station, 5 minutes from the beach, the Hotel Meurice's friendly atmosphere and charm await you right in the heart of the city.

The gastronomic stop between Paris, London and Brussels, "La Diligence" welcomes you to its cosy and confortable decor, enchanced with oak panels.
Our "A la Carte" menu, worthy of the best restaurants, offers you a large choice of dishes. Our Chef, Alain, likes to unleash his own imagination. You will marvel at his inventive, sometimes amazing, cooking.

First, the Royal Post House, "LE CHARIOT ROYAL", the owner, Charles-Augustin Meurice, had the brilliant idea to add an inn to provide luxury accomodation for English travellers.
His son, Louis-Augustin Meurice, founded in 1818, the Hotel Meurice, rue de Rivoli, today, the most famous palace in Paris

    Fabulous quirky little hotel right in the middle of Calais . Very welcoming, a cosy bar and a fine mismatched collection of furniture. The place feels like it might have had a slightly disreputable past...check out the leopard skin chaise longue on the 2nd floor landing! A welcome change from anodyne bedroom factories and highly reccomended.

    Fabulously beautiful hotel full of antiques. The bedroom had a huge wooden bed to climb into with crisp white linen, quality duvet and pillows. Breakfast was very good.

    First time of staying at this hotel but very pleased with all key points including parking which was easy. A nearby small park is ideal for walking our dog but tends to be a little seedy at night and best avoided after dark. The restaurant is small, very friendly and our experience was one of a very nice value for money dinner.
