Josette and Mark Bayley welcome you to their home, Lane Head Farm Country Guest House near Keswick. A marvellous place to relax, explore and enjoy the beauty of the Lake District National Park. Located in the spectacular northern Lake District; situated just 10 minutes drive from Keswick and Ullswater, it is a great base to explore from. The Lake District National Park is only 40 miles long and 33 miles wide so no where is far from our front door.
A warm welcome awaits you upon your arrival at this old farmhouse. Whether you’ve come from near or far you’ll quickly relax into the tranquillity and peacefulness that surrounds you and with seven individually designed en-suite rooms available you’re sure to find one that suits you. Whether you choose to relax in your room or in our comfortable guest lounge is up to you. Feel free to borrow magazines, books and walk guides from the lounge and take them back to your room if you prefer. If you’re lucky you may even glimpse our resident red squirrel on one of the feeders or playing on the lawn. We have a number of different bird feeders as well which attract Greater Spotted Woodpeckers, Siskins and Goldfinches to name a few.
After a day exploring the towns and fells in and around the Lake District you can be sure to return to a freshly cooked 2 or 3 course dinner (booking is essential). Enjoy a pre-dinner drink in the lounge while you browse the wine list and meet new friends. After dinner tea and coffee can be served in the lounge or you may prefer to sample one of our malt whiskeys, a Cognac or an Armagnac.

We have ample private parking for up to nine cars. Check in is from 3pm; please note that we do not accept arrivals after 9pm. Dinner is served at 7pm. Check out is by 10am.
