What a superb hotel. I stayed here when I went to the Grand Prix at Silverstone and it proved to be an excellent base for the weekend. It’s a lovely old building with comfortable rooms furnished in a style which is in keeping with the period. The welcome on arrival was warm and personal and you feel as if you are a special guest in an old friend’s house. The only thing I can’t comment on is the food as I didn’t eat in during the stay. I believe from other guests that the breakfast is excellent however being an F1 fan I was at the track eating a Silverstone breakfast long before most people were awake. In response to the previous review, I had no problem with the WiFi which worked well and there was a flat screen in my room (each room has a name and mine was Mandy). Overall a great place to stay and (as long as Bernie Ecclestone stops messing about) hopefully somewhere I will make my regular hotel for the Grand Prix Weekend. I think the place would also be great for a romantic break away from it all. |

Really friendly welcome on arrival. What a quaint hotel! A very old listed building that has been converted into a hotel - very peaceful surroundings only a short way off the beaten track. The room I had was at the top of the house and very comfortable with the best bath I have been in for years. Only downsides was that I couldn't get wifi anywhere in the building (although advertised) and the T.V. in the room was from the Ark. But a real boutique hotel and a good change. If in the area would try and stay again |

I arrived late but was met with personal greeting. This is a boutique hotel if you like indivualism over corporate. |
