Overall a pleasant stay in a comfortable and well managed hotel. The food and service at dinner was fine, but the cooked breakfast, whilst acceptable, was a little disappointing. |

Great hotel, comfortable room and good location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Take a car to visit surrounding areas with ease as location a bit remote. |

Having noticed a few uncomplimentary reviews on the site (which I now understand referred to a time before the hotel came under new management), we were very pleasantly surprised to find the level of service at The Lugger excellent. Our room was very comfortable and clean and all the hotel's amenities (including the library and outside terraces) were very well thought out. We decided to have dinner in the restaurant and found the food and wine very good indeed, with some interesting flavours, and the service professional and friendly. This is all helped by the gorgeous sea views but the standard of service and the competence of the chef and the restaurant staff and the enthusiasm of the front of house staff did justice to their surroundings and mean that we will certainly return when we can. |

The hotel was lovely and our room a very good standard and clean. The only thing was it was rather warm as the extractor in the bathroom was not working. Food at the restaurant was excellent with great viewsover the harbour. Service overall could have been a bit more attentative during the evening service but overall it was ok. Would go back! |
