Boot Inn

12 BOOT HILL, DERBY

The Boot Inn is an old Coaching Inn, which dates back to 1649. The old bar, which is now the lounge bar still retains much of its original character, with wooden beams and authentic fire places.
The main bar was once a brewery where the beer was brewed on site then sold in the lounge bar. Now however, it has been turned into a public bar, with its high ceilings, large sash windows and open plan bar.
The original bedrooms have been lovingly restored to a high standard…however they have maintained much of the character of an old building, with uneven floors and low ceilings. (All the bedrooms are en-suite - with TV’s and tea and coffee facilities).
The beer garden has recently been rebuilt and offers a safe and delightful environment for children and families. It is the only beer garden in Repton, it is away from the main road and closed off from the car park.

The Boot Inn is an exceptionally friendly establishment. The owners couldn't do enough for us and it was also a pleasure spending the evening in the bar as the locals were really friendly and very happy to chat to us. The Boot Inn is an historic building so inevitably there are some compromises - our room was clean and the beds comfortable but the room decor was a bit tired. Food was all of good quality and nicely presented. We got an exceptionally good deal and, if you are looking for value for money accomodation with friendly and attentive service - then this is the place to go! I would happily stay at The Boot Inn again.

The owners were very friendly and hospitable during our stay, and atmosphere of the place is a friendly welcoming one. The room we stayed in was clean and the bed very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast was included , with the dinner on offer being typical pub grub, but it was cooked well and tasty, and the cooked breakfast being far above the average you would expect. Like others have mentioned a few things would enhance your stay, bigger towels, plus repair of the cracked window. All in all value for money for what we paid.
