The Harley Hotel

Hotel not very clean and quite old fashioned. Breakfast was greasy and they had run out of vegatarian sausages. However, I would stay here again simply because of its central location, but would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a good night sleep as it is very noisy and is definately for those who like to party.

As a place to crash after a night out (which was what I used it for), it is ok. The room is functional and the breakfast is fine. However the room and hotel in general was in an awful state of cleanliness, hand marks all over the wall, not hoovered etc. At least it had clean sheets. The room was very small but I suppose that doesn't matter if you're just crashing there. For those reasons I don't think it was worth the money. In future I would recommend staying at one of the national chain lodges in Sheffield, or if they are booked I would actually recommend going to the ones out at the Arena, even with the taxi fare involved. The place was very very unclean.

Great hotel near bars, clubs etc.. not suitable for families as has club/bar night downstairs wityh 3am license. Breakfast was good also and served until 1030!

Although my expectations were low, they were not met. The main area of concern was the cleanliness. My room clearly had not been vacuumed for some time. The tea/coffee tray was covered with stains. The shower door did not close. The window had to be propped open. Perhaps most disturbing was the brown, greasy patch in the centre of both headboards. I stayed for 2 nights and my room was not cleaned after the first night. The bedding, however, was clean. The staff were fine. Breakfast was average although eating in a bar that smells of stale beer somewhat puts you off your food.
