Blue Ball Inn

Countisbury, Lynmouth

The Blue Ball Inn is a beautiful, traditional, 13th century Coaching Inn with inglenook fireplaces, and an atmosphere of unspoilt old world charm. This traditional country inn with 16 quality en-suite bedrooms, attracts visitors and hikers from all over the world, is dog friendly, extends a warm welcome to children and has a fine and growing reputation for providing real ale, fine wines and excellent food. The Inn uses, wherever possible, high quality local produce and has recently started to introduce many traditional North Devon meals and deserts to its Specials Board to compliment the seasonal menu's. Being located in Countisbury in an area of outstanding beauty, approximately one and a half miles from the twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth and close to the famous Dune Valley, it is the ideal place from which to explore the outdoors, with over 1000km of footpaths and bridleways. Positioned in probably the heart of the hiking capital of England some of the countries most spectacular trails pass the Blue Ball Inn including the South West Coastal Path. The Blue Ball Inn is indeed one of a rare breed, privately owned, unspoilt and set in an area of outstanding beauty, providing an excellent example of what can only be described as a traditional English Inn.

die Lage an der Küste mitten im Exmoor entschädigt für kleine Mängel die das Hotel aufweist. Zimmer können evtl. ziemlich laut sein. Aber der offene Kamin und die herzliche Atmosphäre sind wunderbar.
