The Onslow was perfectly fine for my one night stay, helpful staff, clean, no en-suite and didn't have time to try breakfast.

The location isn't the best (a 20 minute walk out of city centre in not too nice of a neighborhood), but the guest house itself was very nice. I was very impressed with the strong water pressure in the showers. The breakfast was hearty and quite good, with lots of personal attention. They have wireless internet, but unfortunately no computers for travellers without laptops, making the closest place to get internet access about 2 miles away. Everyone working there was eager to help with whatever I needed. They do charge a 5% fee for using a credit card, but kindly didn't process my online payment until letting me know this, giving me the option to pay in cash. There is a sink in the room, and a shared bathroom and shower with a few others on your floor. Because there was just one other family on my floor, this did not cause a problem.

My stay at the Onslow guest house was faultless... even though my room was one of the few without en-suite the staff were incredibly friendly, the food totally wonderful.
What impressed me the most was how clean it was.
Taxi from the centre of Glasgow was not expensive and only took 5 mins, it was pleasant to stay away from the pace of the town.
From the information provided to me by the staff I will be returning very soon to visit other places in Glasgow.
