This was our second overnight stay. A beautiful period house with lots of character.
The staff are extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
As vegetarians, a veggie sausage would be a nice addition to the cooked breakfast, but this is a very small request, as the breakfast is plentiful.
When the log fire is lit, you can just sit with a book and enjoy afternoon tea or relax in one of the lounge areas and enjoy the views.
A great hotel to get away and unwind, definitely the place to visit on the rare occassion that the children are staying at their grandparents! ;)

Lovely and peaceful, yet only a short distance from Windermere with all its attractions. Ideal for a getaway from it all break,stunning gardens.

Nicely converted manor house with lots of interesting history (pictures, books, newspaper clippings etc.). Staff were very polite, welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Hotel is in a very peaceful setting with a very large well manicured garden, which even includes a large pond).
