The hotel was very nice from the outside and has nice grounds to walk in, the room wasnt as expected, it was nice but a bit dated in furnishings. our breakfast was included in the price. but dinner wasnt and we were asked if we wanted a table booking to which we not told the price. we expected to be a good price as the the room was, but We thought it was a little expensive at £32 per person, It was good food (a la carte) but it was a bit bit pricy in our eyes. would go back again but would eat at a restaurant nearby.

We enjoyed our stay immensely; the food was excellent and the service too. All the members of staff we met were well-trained, discreet, well-mannered and pleasant. One minor "niggle"; the quality of the tea supplied in our room and at breakfast.

Restaurant staff were reasonably well trained but young and inexperienced.

Food was exceptionally good even on Table d'Hote. Only adverse comment was that they didn't have a draught beer in the bar.
