only one night stay but good for our purposes. Comfy bed, good shower - not luxury (not for a special occasion) but OK. Parking was limited but good. Hotel was a good central base and good vfm. Reception staff were excellent |

The hotel is centrally situated and very convenient. The gardens look as though they might be lovely in summer and a nice place to sit out with a drink. (It was winter when I visited so hard to say for sure). The restaurant was spacious and airy and breakfast was okay. However, the room I had was cramped, despite asking for a spacious room, and everything looked very worn and shabby. I was very disappointed. |

Excellent location for the city centre, 10 minutes walk. Friendly and helpful staff. Didn't have dinner but breakfast very good. Both rooms very clean and looked recently decorated. (No lift in the hotel so elderly guests should check location of room before booking). I would definately recommend this hotel to others, the perfect base to explore York |
