Greenbank Hotel

Harbourside, Falmouth

Greenbank Hotel's setting is in a truly enviable position, with its idyllic seafront location in Falmouth situated off the A39. It boasts one of the most sensational panoramic waterfront views in England, hours can literally pass by as you follow the yachts slipping quietly out to sea. Even storm clouds gathering over the bay are dramatic. Dating from 1640 the Greenbank is Falmouth’s oldest hotel and is a fascinating collection of sympathetically and beautifully restored buildings perched on the sea wall and private quay.
The restaurant is elevated above one of the world’s largest natural harbours, the sunlit Harbourside Restaurant is the perfect setting to enjoy the delightful food on a star-studded menu. Head Chef, Keith Brooksbank is paving new ground with a menu where seasonality and supreme provenance are the prevailing watchwords, described as Modern British it is littered with refreshingly experimental touches designed to awaken the imagination and palate. In the bar you can truly escape, imagine the scene you’ve arrived after a long journey and you fancy a drink. The ambience quickly adapts to your mood, whether you want to talk, laugh or just daydream, sit back in a soft chair and relax. The well stocked bar shies away from serving the mundane or average, also an electric wine list offers something for everyone. The background atmosphere is soft and relaxed and the service is reminiscent of a bygone era.
There are hundreds of ways to relax in Falmouth and the beautiful Cornwall countryside. Take a stroll in the cobbled streets of Old Falmouth, or wander down to see the catch coming ashore at the quayside. The Cornwall coastline is world renowned with magnificent cliffs and tumbling surf, deserted coves, wooded estuaries and hidden creeks. If you fancy some real adventure, go diving amongst the wrecks and reefs. The surrounding countryside is a delight. Walk, cycle or ride across the moors, play a round of golf on some of the finest links and parkland courses, or simply relax and enjoy the comfort and hospitality you find everywhere in Cornwall.

arrived while renovation was taking place, but done very well and didn't spoil our stay. we were not happy with the first room they allocated as it looked out on to the road. However that was soon changed and we had a superb room with stunning sea views. very comfortable. very good breakfast, in a lovely dining room over looking the sea. Exelent, We will be back.

This Hotel is a big of a Maze - Howevr the room was fine - The only fault was the position of the TV - An LCD left side of the bed - The best view of it was either sta in a hard chair or led side ways across the bed - The Tv would be better moved or on a moveable bracket £19.99 from Argos
