Royal Mile Apartment

The location is excellent - just 2 mins from the Royal Mile and 10 mins from the Princess Street which is the heart of the city. The appartment was nice and tidy, 2 medium sized double bedrooms and a lounge with a spare folded bed and 2 decent sized and very confortable sofas. Nothing flashy and extra ordinary but very comfortable, convenient and great value for money!.

Superb location for visiting tourist areas of City, only down sides where all night student partys and expensive cost of parking, but these would not stop us going again.

apartment not suitable for 6 guests, as two single beds in lounge, no privacy, no blind at window overlooking path, windows dirty. cream carpets and cream sofas stained and soiled by previous guests. Bed mattresses very poor condition. wardrobe doors off in one bedroom, sliding partition door to en-suite not flush to wall. Boiler housed in other smaller bedroom inside wardrobe with sliding doors - restricted hanging space, No temperature control to hot water, comes out boiling from all taps - no water pressure to shower heads- risk of severe scolds due to no temperature control.

Excellent location right in the heart of Edinburgh and the apartment is a very high quality. There was 3 of us staying for a show at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre which was only 10min walk with lots of pubs and eating places en route. Having the kitchen and cooker was excellent and there was even tea bags, sugar, salt and pepper etc.... ice cubes in the freezer too. Allot more relaxing that a hotel room. Would be great if staying for a few days especially.

The apartment was not accessible at check-in time --- a key was to be provided in a combination lock box outside the apartment. It took an hour to gain access to the apartment because it had not been cleaned (the key was still on the kitchen counter from the previous occupants). Apartment was straightened (not cleaned) in five minutes while we waited outside. Beds were extremely uncomfortable (hard, dipped in the middle), 1 inch thick pillows, TV broken. Very easy to hear loud, boisterous people outside, especially in the middle of the night.
The location is easy access to the Royal Mile. Payment is difficult from the US. Payment is expected by check or bank transfer two weeks prior to arrival. The sending bank requires a swift code and the apartment information provided a sort code --- not the same thing. Payment was finally made after contacting them by phone and providing a credit card.
