the Hotel was pretty hard to find. we used a SAT NAV and found the road that the hotel is situated on fine and we actually drove past the hotel about 3 times without realising.
There are signs but they were clearly intended for a pedestrian with a telescope not somebody driving slowly down the road in a car. anyway we found reception and from there we were lost again on the way to the underground parking 100m away. It is down a very small alley and everything for the Hotel is very inconspicuously marked. But we finally got inside and the apartment was very nice indeed.
cannot fault the cleanliness or the decor and facilities. there was plenty of snacks there, including milk and a loaf in the fridge. chocolates, biscuits etc. bathroom was a good size and very nice too. very luxurious, quiet rooms and clean. our room had no view whatsoever... we could see a building site and a wall out of the floor to ceiling windows but you're in the centre of manchester so don't expect rolling hills and orchards or a sea view.
only bad point was that the room was very hot. there is some new decive that they advertise as a "super flow chill room de-ventilator gadget machine from the future capable of giving a polar bear pneumonia" but this is just an upright AC unit. quite small and very noisy. if you can sleep on a train no problems if not you're going to be sweaty when you wake up. we stayed in summer and it was a particularly hot day. the windows all open so there would be no problems on a cooler day.
I had one personal dislike. They have those doors that are mandatorily fitted to all rooms in modern apartments. The ones that will not stay open for fire safety reasons.
This meant that you could not leave any of the doors open. personally I dont like to be locked in the bathroom whilst my girlfriend is locked up in the bedroom then we both go lock ourselves in the living room. I like to leave doors open so you can talk throughout the apartment and it feels more open plan and larger. But that's just me. besides a relatively weighty size 12 boot will keep them propped open.
Don't go on a scorching hot day and take a couple of door stops and you'll have an awesome time. cannot beat it for the price!
enjoy

Excellent location, very efficient service, and beautifully appointed rooms - only 2 negatives were the temperature of the apartment - don't know what the 'new cooling' system is - although they did provide air con unit; and the 2nd room was a double aswell - could offer twin. Would not hesitate to book again - much better value for couple with kids than hotel

Bit awkward to get to but nevertheless, fantastic value for money, pretty central to city. Extremely surprised with extras such as bread, milk & fresh orange in fridge, extensive range of teas & coffees etc. Fabulous decor. Outside does it no justice. Would definately stay there again and have already told my friends about it.

Room quality was excellent, however i would certainly advise to opt for a room with a balcony, as it was extremely hot throughout my stay and at nights getting to sleep was fairly difficult, staff realised the problem and tried to help altering the A/C openeing doors etc, but the room was still reaaly hot. However, in general the room and location was excellent quality and value for money!. 100% definately recommended.
