A very friendly, family run hotel. We were there when we had the unexpected October snowfall but our room was toasty warm to come back to after walking with the dog. Also lots of lovely hot water for baths. Good vegetarian options on the evening bar menu (but I could have done without the constant live sport on the TV). The restaurant was the other food option and was beautiful and the food sounded imaginative but a bit too formal for us walkers and a limited choice for us veggies (1 main course). Our dog, Lady, was made very welcome both in the hotel itself and the bar. We would definitely use the Hafod again. |

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. On arrival, we were met by the owner, who was most welcoming. She showed us personally to our room, which was large, clean and well maintained. In the evening, we returned for dinner; the welsh steaks were excellent, and all the food provided was very good value for money. The hotel has very good facilities, including a guest lounge, a dining room which is attractively decorated and a public bar which serves special beers at sensible prices. This is a very good family run hotel, and we would recommend it very strongly. |

Friendly people but this is a hotel from the seventies. Tired rooms, mould around the baths, shower heads held up with insulation tape on a wooden bracket, cobwebs, wall heaters and faded pink sheets. An OK breakfast eaten from a dirty tablecloth. The photo shows a hotel among the trees - in fact it is on a road junction. |
