If you travel by car: Directions for Clan Walker Guest House are as follows: From West: M8, A8, take A720 City Bypass South to Sheriff Hall Roundabout, exit A7 (past new Royal Infirmary Hospital) City Centre to Cameron Toll Roundabout and follow signs for the “old Town” going round under bridge, and first left onto Dalkeith Road (A7) carry on uphill and the Clan Walker Guest House is situated on Left Hand side. From Edinburgh City Centre as follows: via M8 (City Bypass North) ,M9, A8, M90 follow signs for City Centre then Corstorphine, Haymarket, Lothian Road, Meadows, Dalkeith Road (Commonwealth Pool) and Clan Walker Guest House is situated about .5 mile down hill on Right Hand Side. From East: M1/A1 - follow signs for Forth Bridge / Airport to SheriffHall Roundabout, take exit A7 City Centre to Cameron Toll roundabout and head for “old Town” follow round under railway bridge, then first left onto Dalkeith Road (A7) for approx 1 mile and Clan Walker Guest House is situated on Left Hand Side. Alternatively stay on A1 (bypass signs for Forth Bridge) and take for City Centre / Leith to exit sign posted Craigmiller/Musselburgh (Fort Kinnaird Shopping Centre can be seen from road just before exit) At roundabout, left, over roundabout, and stay on main road through shopping centre to Cameron Toll Roundabout; go right around roundabout (4th exit) onto Dalkeith Road (A7) and Clan Walker Guest House is aprox 1 mile up hill on Left Hand Side. BY AIR: The airport (located to west of city) is about a 25 minute taxi journey and will cost approximately £20. Alternatively the airport bus, which costs £3.50 (every 15 minutes) will take you to the city centre, Waverley, from which a local bus or taxi can be caught. BY BUS: Number 30 or 33 Bus from Princes Street Number 2 from the Grassmarket or the 30 every 12 minutes or the 33 every 10 minutes (Lothian Regional Transport Bus) or the number 14 bus from Leith Street runs every 15 minutes. BY TRAIN: Waverley Train Station is closer to the Clan Walker Guest House out of the two train stations in Edinburgh, Haymarket being a little further away. From Waverley there is a taxi rank within the train station. FROM TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRE: Head towards the South Bridge and go straight up towards Newington Road. Dalkeith Road runs Parallel to this on the left hand side heading out of town direction.

Clan Walker guest house was superb! clean, friendly people, beautiful rooms with attention to detail very aparant. very handy for the city, Breakfast was full hearty and cooked to perfection. We would highly reccomend this guest house, Thankyou for a very comftable lovely stay. |
