The breakfast was outstanding. Loads of fresh fruit and 3 choices in terms of a cooked breakfast as well.

Excellent guest house; very comfortable and spacious and great breakfast. Short walk down steepish hill into town centre.
Note, parking is very tight and if the house is full you may need to leave keys with the management in case anyone gets blocked in. There is some limited on street parking also which you may prefer if you are not keen on leaving keys. (This seems to be a common problem in this area.)

The facilties were only superficially clean. There was a scrap of paper and a stone on the carpet indicating that the vacuuming was nit thorough. The toilet bowl lokked like it had never been cleaned.
The location was exellent. The rooms nicely furnished.

It is quite a climb back up from Whitby town centre, we did it with a fit 80 year old but you may need a taxi or bus.

The room, to the front of the property, was clean and well appointed; good firm bed; clean linen; good bathroom with excellent shower. We thought the proximity of the road would keep us awake but presented no problem in practice. Car parking was fine and the walk up the hill from the town was good exercise for us but might be a problem for the less mobile. Breakfast was great - tasty and generous without being over-facing. The only slight question-mark was value for money - the accommodation seemed expensive for the locality - but we had an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
