The room was very pleasant - roomy and quite. The breakfast was quite basic. We would use the hotel again. |

I gave notice we would be arriving at 10.15pm after the bistro had closed and was told no room service was available. We were informed there were two indian restaurants and a chinese on the high street but not given times of opening etc. When we checked in we were given no details about the gym or sauna, opening times etc. The room was only just adequate and the toilet seat was broken, there was no hairdryer, no "do not disturb" sign or no information about having breakfast in our room, however the bed was very comfortable and linen spotless. We were woken up at 3.50am by someone banging next door 3 extremely loud bangs. We ere informed the next morning it was a twin room and one of the occupants had no key. Surely in twin rooms 2 keys are given! Then at 7am the maids started changing the rooms and a door in the corridor was constantly banging and lots of talking outside our door. We were very tired and it was Saturday morning!!! I arrived for breakfast alone and was ushered to a table in the middle of the room, I asked if I could sit at another empty table near the window and when the server laid up my table everything was slammed onto the table with very poor attitude! On Saturday night we arrived back to the hotel around 12.30 and found we were locked out! I rang the bell 3 times and knocked on the window twice before we were let in by the night porter even though there were around 15 people still in the bar who could see us outside, most of which were staff!! Again no information given about the door being locked! Sunday morning's attitude was the same at breakfast. I have worked in sales and marketing for 27 years and mostly with the general public I would not have someone with that attitude working for me! The Hotel decor was lovely, the breakfast was basic but beautifully cooked sadly the service was very poor. Perhaps some staff training in communications is needed and a smile wouldn't go amiss. We won't be staying here again. |

We attended a wedding party at the Greswolde on the evening of our stay, so booked into our room around 4pm. Check in was quick and informative and although our room seemed the furthest from reception, it was worth the walk! Elegant bathroom, modern furnishings, flat screen tv and all the usuals. The one and only thing on the downside is that there isn't a lift, so could be awkward for the less able or those with heavy luggage. We ate in the bar area - food priced a little higher than average, but was good and the bar prices we found very reasonable. All of the staff we encountered were very courteous and friendly. To top it off the breakfast was fantastic - go for the full English and you wont be disappointed. All in all an excellent stay and would recommend this as a good base for exploring - Solihull, Warwick and Stratford are within 30 minute drive. |

The Greswolde is more a bar/restaurant with rooms than a hotel. The room had open wardrobes and straightforward bathrooms, clean but nothing exceptional. The staff are very young and whilst friendly (with one glaring exception who was miserable and rude throughtout) do not give you the impression that they have a great deal of experience in working in hotels. All in all not bad but not worth £99 per night. |

Very pleasant stay, staff helpful, a bit noisy from bathroom fans going on and off or possibly air conditioning units somewhere outside the window, but not a major issue. A nice little Italian restaurant within 500 yards (or so) walking distance of the hotel and an extremely nice bakers/deli at roughly the same distance. |
