Couldn't believe they had 100% feedback, but they deserve it. My wifeand I had a lovely couple of days. Great breakfast, easy access to centre, help with parking, clean tidy establishment. Bit of a hike to top floor but no problem unless disability restricts you. |

Lovely house, great hosts who were most helpful. Breakfast really nice with smoked salmon rather than a B and B "grease fest". A fab place, will book again Hilary |

The griffin has a very good central location and the hotel can provide a 24 hour parking ticket to park on the rd outside or ajoining street to the hotel at a cost (about £8.00). The good sized japanease themed room(second floor) we stayed in had a large walk inshower for two with separate toliet and sink. The four poster bed was comfortable and there was a small flatscreen televison on the wall with a dvd player in the cupboard. A collection of dvd's located in the foyer for guest to watch for free. Tea/coffee and biscuits are free to guests in the 24hr conseratory which leads on to a pleasant roof patio for smokers this is over looked on all sides by other flats and buildings. The modern openplan breakfast room/bar/kitchen area is where we had our breakfast cooked to order which was fairly good. The hotel is clean and tidy and in a fairly good condition though i believe i found a odd hair in my bed which i dont think belonged to me. customer service was ok though check in was rushed but to be fair thats because we checked in later than planned at about 7.30 pm and the owners were meeting friends for dinner .We were given a key to the front door and our bedroom so we could come and go when we liked. Overall a very pleasent comfortable stay at the Griffin. |

Superbly located within easy walking distance of the main attractions. A warm welcome extended by our hosts with Chris providing very useful information on good restaurants - we checked out all of them and they were spot on. And the cats! We were greeted like long lost family members! Lovely, individually furnished room (4) with view of the prom from the balcony and best cooked breakfast I've had in a long time at any hotel. Nice touches include a DVD library and the conservatory/ balcony for smokers, which also afforded extended cat cuddling - he's not allowed in the rooms! |
