It is a totally charming hotel with wonderful staff, terrific food and we loved it all... I thought our room was a little on the small side for the money although the bathroom was excellent. And I appreciated that any service charge at all is left entirely to the discretion of the guests - nothing is added automatically. We would make a point of going back if we were anywhere in that part of the country again...it's lovely. |

Food was disappontment. Menu sounded innovative but was without real substance - meat was tough and not very tasty. I think the chef tried to be too fancy rather than concentrating on quality simple menus. One breakfast served luke-warm kipper. After 2 nights we elected to have dinner out. For location we would stay again but dine elsewhere. |

Would prefer a more child friendly menu in the restaurant. and some simple options for the not so daring adult. the food was beautifully prepared, and tasted good, The club bar is very well done and has inspired me to build one at the top of our garden.......all the staff were very nice and polite. see you again white swan, we will come back. |

This hotel is excellent - exceptionally good quality food, perfect customer service and great rooms. Probably the best hotel experience we've had in this country. |
