Not pleased about the late check-in though we were able to leave our bags in a locked room. My room was ok but there were only two coat hangers in the wardrobe and no light over the bathroom mirror. I was surprised at being charged £5.00 to use the gym/pool. |

I was disappointed that the cost of the room did not include breakfast. The coffee/tea facilities in the room were certainly appreciated. On each occasion, my used tea-bag was left in the teapot after use. On one day, the room was not serviced, and left until I complained in the evening, on my return. The TV set picture was unsteady and there was background noise, which increased when the volume was raised. The loud singing from the nearby O151 Club was very intrusive over the first 24 hours. |

Excellent location. Beautiful character building. But I noticed cigarette butts on the carpet by the lifts on the fourth floor when I arrived and they had still not been removed when I checked out the next day. |

What a disappointment. Hotel was dirty i.e. bedroom not vacuumed toenail clippings, used elastoplast, and dust half an inch deep under the bed. Room 636 was very small, not large enough to put a bedside cupboard on both sides of the bed. Having complained we were moved to another room 572 only to find that the shower was not connected to the taps and when turned on ,water shot every where I complained again and was told that it would be fixed the next day. OF COURSE IT WAS'NT. WHAT a sorry state for one of the most prestigious buildings in Liverpool |
