we only had breakfast, not very good. We did not have dinner there mainly because of the breakfast quality and the dinning room was part of the bar. The hotel was in need of a severe clean. We found out at 8 o'clock the first morning that the decorators were in the hotel. We were woken but noises from the room above ours. Although there were notices in the hotel, the reception did not mention that work was being done in the room above. |

The Lodge Hotel is a lovely hotel - delightfully furnished, and the rooms (or, at least, the room in which I stayed) had good facilities. On arrival, guests are presented with complementary mineral water, wine, chocolate and shortbread. Bedding is changed daily, and the influx of fresh towels during the daytime is quite substantial. |
