The hotel location was incredible... right in the city centre and five minutes walk from Picadilly station. This was perfect for transport links, shopping and nightlife. We didn't need taxis anywhere, everything was walking distance even in high heels. When we checked in we were given a complimentary bottle of red/white wine which was just what we needed getting ready for a night out. To get a free bottle of wine when the room only cost £53 was incredible, especially as the bar prices were not cheap (a pint of lemonade cost £2.50). The hotel was very attractive both on the outside and the inside and the porters were extremely helpful. We had a special pass to use if we were coming back after 11pm which was checked by the porter opening the door for us at 2am, so safety was never a problem. We were expecting a room with no window however with being so high up, we had half a wheel window, which was more than adequate. Afterall you dont go to a new city to spend it in the hotel. Being where it was we expected lots of overnight noise however we both slept incredibly well, though the mattress was quite uncomfortable. On the Sunday, we checked out however we were able to leave our bags at reception with the porters and pick up on the way back to the station... perfect for a days shopping! Overall we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend and stay again. |

The hotel is very central and the price for the room was good, BUT the room had no window and the air conditioning did not work causing a warm and restless night. We also found the showers without hot water which as you can guest wasn't good. The bars around the hotel are great value and great place to start off your night. |

The hotel is in need of refurbishment. The lampshade was torn, toilet handle dropping off and generally shabby, if I had paid the £135 advertised for this room I would have been very disappointed. |

The staff were pleasant and welcoming. The hotel has an old style faded grandeur I like. The night clubs underneath create so much noise my sleep was disturbed and as I was walking in late on saturday night there was such a huge fight between drunks and bouncers I, as a lone female, was a little afraid. |

A superb place to stay for one evening whilst on a business trip. Couldn't be more central. Plenty of car parking available across the road. A very good breakfast. Room not the best but adequate for me needs |
