The Lodge was very clean and well kept. The staff were very friendly and looked afterus well. It is well placed in the town and near to the local shops and eating places. I would definately recommend this Hotel to our friends, and would go back again to stay. |

Unfortunately the room provided was very disappointing-maybe because we booked to bring a dog ( and paid extra) we were allocated a very dated, mismatched and tired room (bathroom suite in olive green and grey wall tiles! Wardrobe had a hole in the door) The hotel itself was lovely and well placed in Windermere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good - but would have been better with a link of 'Cumberland' sausage instead of the average B&B sausage. It is worth noting that other visitors to the hotel left very good comments about their bedrooms in the visitors book-maybe the 'dog' room was an exception to the rule?? |
