AIRPORTS, TRAIN STATIONS Gardone Riviera is at approx. 30 Km from Brescia Montichiari airport , 60 Km. from Verona Villafranca , 85 Km from Bergamo Orio al Serio, 130 Km. from Milano Linate and 180 Km. from Milano Malpensa airports. TRANSFERS From the airports or the railway stations it is advisable to request the hotel to organize a transfer. A credit card no. and expiration date is required to guarantee. Milan airports are connected with Milano Centrale railway station by a regular, public bus service. In Milan Linate tickets can be bought on the bus. In Milan Malpensa tickets are on sale inside the airport terminal. Of course the railway station can be reached also by taxi. The fare from Linate (130 Km.) and Malpensa (180 Km) is quite expensive. Please note that the journey from Linate to Gardone Riviera takes at least 2 hours. To reach Gardone Riviera by train from Milano, it is advisable to stop at Desenzano and have an organized transfer from there, or take a taxi. You can also stop at Brescia and then get a public bus to Gardone Riviera. Desenzano is closer to Gardone Riviera than Brescia, but busses from Brescia are more frequent. If you take an IC or EC train, a supplement for fast trains must be paid when you purchase the ticket. Remember to validate the train ticket before the departure with the special stamping machines located close to the platform. PUBLIC BUSSES From Desenzano station to Gardone Riviera buses leave as follows: 06.00 - 08.10 - 11.35 - 13.20 - 16.20 - 18.30 Duration of the run: 30 minutes Busses leave just outside the railway station on the left. Tickets can be purchased at the station bar. A few taxis are usually available at Desenzano station till ca. h 24.00. All busses stop 100 m from the Grand Hotel Gardone. From Brescia take a public bus direction Toscolano or Gargnano (and not direction Gardone V.T.), to Gardone Riviera. Departures every 30 minutes starting from 06.00 a.m. till 21.10. The bus station is located around the building on the left side just outside the railway station. Tickets can be purchased there. Duration of the run: ca.1 hour. CAR from Milan A4 motorway or from A21 motorway exit in Brescia Est and follow directions for Lago di Garda and Salò-Gardone Riviera (30 Km). from Verona A4 motorway, exit in Desenzano and follow direction for Salò-Gardone Riviera (25 Km) from Brennero A22 motorway, exit Rovereto Sud - Lago di Garda and follow directions for Riva-Brescia (60 Km).
