The catering was in an atmosphere of "rushed off our feet." Once served, there was no chance to ask for anything more. They just wanted to get the job done and move on to the next task. Breakfast lasted one our from 9-10 am and finished promptly. Sometimes the food which was generally of good quality, was cold. (prepared in advance) |

No reception facilities, had to fight our way to the bar and then subjected to a lengthy wait while food and drinks orders were completed. Room was tiny, bedding was torn and grubby looking, bed hard. No parking facilities, when staff were asked where we could leave our car they just shrugged and said you will have to wait for a space to become vacant on the quay side. Breakfast could only be served at 0900 and as we needed to leave by 0815 to catch a boat, they agreed to provide a breakfast tray, this was left at our door at 2030 with fresh milk and orange (no fridge provided) two packets of cereals (no bowls provided) and two rolls, needless to say we had to buy our breakfast later. |

Ship Inn is located in a completely charming and typical Cornish village - very small and walkable, with bus service to nearby Penzance. Roads are VERY narrow to drive here, and the parking is extremely limited. There are views of St. Michael's Mount, the small colorful harbor, and tons of beautiful flowers in tiny gardens and nearly every window ledge! Rooms are right above the great pub, but we did not find it noisy. Rooms are smallish but quite adequate and very clean, with service daily. Breakfast is included and you are offered the 'cooked breakfast' you find all over England, but there is also cereal, toast and juice for those who don't care to indulge in the fried foods. |

Very dissapointing, we stayed just one night instead of 5. Room was dirty, in poor repair and very noisy. We had to put up with the playing a loud radio till midnight in the room next door, then a period of intensive passion, followed by TV blaring till 1am! |
