The staff were really friendlyand helpful, the food was very good and extremely good value. The only downside was our room, both my wife and I would have expected a better room as we were staying for seven nights, most of the other guests would just stay for a few nights. The bathroom was fine but on the roof outside of our bedroom were the extractor fan for the kitchen and the air conditioner units for the restaurant area. This meant that the room was uncomfortably hot as the window could not be opened because of the noise. There was a portable A/C in the room but that was pretty noisy as well. If we would have had a better room we may have considered this Hotel on our next trip away and also recommended it to friends. The name of the room was Mainsail so beware. |

Excellent establishment in a lovely setting. Food was excellent and the bar carries an impressive range of real ale. Only bug bear is how creaky the floors are - not the best choice if you are a light sleeper! |
