My second stay but first review. Looking at the 'normal' prices I would say the 'special' prices are more fitting. The hotel is easy to find, the staff friendly and the room I stayed in was OK. MY major gripe is about the wash basin in the room. It's the same size as a House Martins nest. It's not possible to fill the kettle from the tap, I used the shower hose. Also, if you wet shave or just want a wash, forget it! Again you have to use the shower hose but bobbing out to use the mirror. |

This is a fairly mediocre hotel which charged £99 for B & B. When I asked why it was so dear, when a hotel where I had stayed earlier was so much better and cheaper (£70), I was told that it was because there was an oil conference on in Aberdeen. As if to add insult to injury I was told that if I had been staying there the following evening it would revert to the normal rpice of £39. I considered this to be blatant profiteering and not good for Scotland's image. In addition breakfast consisted of one egg, one slice of bacon and a single sausage - very disappointing |

Room was situated on the fourth Floor with no offer of help with luggage from the staff. There was loud music in the bar and large groups of youths smoking outside. This Hotel is in fact a PUB and INDIAN restuarant in reality! the room was EXTREMELY poor with curtains hanging off the rails furniture falling apart a TV that barely worked with only 4 channels - two of them the same! the shower was so disgusting we could not use it, the door was hanging off the ensuite - the bedside had a RED bulb in it and the windows had been left open and the room was full of midges. We booked 3 nights but had to leave first thing next morning and find a better hotel. The staff said the manager would phone about refunding the 2 nights that we didn't stay - still waiting and no refund despite writting to the hotel. Do not stay in this hotel unless you like a rowdy pub and curry! - Looks very nice on the website but is in a very poor state! Good job I took lots of Photographs that may yet be used in evidence unless the owners cough up soon! |

I have stayed here often but have to say that the place is getting progressively worse. I was not arriving till 7pm and called the hotel to let them know. My room was tiny and pretty grubby. It was impossible to move your arms in the shower it was so small. I asked to be moved, which they did - to a room which was only slightly bigger. |
