Overall we enjoyed our stay although there were some problems with the heating which were not mentioned when we checked in and the room was a bit cold. The main building was full of character with lovely wood panelling and roaring fires. The dinner service was excellent although the breakfast service was quite poor. The quality of the food was mostly excellent however again there were a couple of small let-downs.

stayed in 2 rooms, first room lovely but a bit cold due to size of room and amount of radiators one of which we could not turn on. In fairness we did not enquire if this could be rectified so no blaim could be put on the hotel personnel. Second room newly refurbished and of excellent quality. Our overall experience was above expectations and we would definitely return in the future.
