In a country setting only five minutes from Bournemouth International Airport, the Avon Causeway provides superb accommodation, conference facilities, a traditional bar and the unique Oriental restaurant. The Avon Causeway offers a bar with a wide range of Wadworth real ales, plus a very well stocked wines and spirits selection. The Inn has been developed on the site of Hurn Station which was part of the 1870's Bournemouth to Ringwood railway, with many items of railway memorabilia still remaining. It is ideally situated to take advantage of the country pursuits available in the New Forest and Avon Valley, as well as the sailing, shops and theatres in Bournmouth and Poole.

ACCOMMODATION
At the Avon Causeway we offer accommodation to hotel standards combined with the opportunity to stay in a 'traditional inn'. All the rooms are ensuite and offer colour television and tea and coffee making facilities. The Avon Causeway offers wedding facilities including a beautifully appointed bridal suite. Comfortable accommodation in an attractive and historical setting is the speciality of the Avon Causeway.

GOOD FOOD AND DRINK
A wide range of meals are available from the traditional menu, plus daily specials and a Sunday carvery. There is also the Orient restaurant which offers a unique dining facility; developed within an elegant Pullman coach and beautifully refurbished in the style of the Orient Express. This is the venue for the Avon Causeway 'murder mystery' evenings, and can also be used for private functions upon request.

From the A31 follow the A338 towards Hurn, at the mini roundabout with the airport signposted to the left; turn right, the Avon Causeway is 1 mile down the road on the left.

Room & ensuite spotless. Very comfortable. A fantastic little hideaway for a relaxed comfortable night away from home.
On check out their computer system generates standard bills for each room. I had single occupancy of a double room so bill produced was for a double room therefore room rate didn't agree with laterooms quote. However this was rectified with no quibble at all - so I would just say ensure you check your bill carefully before paying.

Surprisingly good. The staff were very friendly, the food is excellent and the location is perfect. The breakfast in the old pullman carriage is an excellent touch and if you want a night cap the hot chocolate with marshmallows is unmissable. The bar & restaurant has a wide variety of snacks & meals and a nice beer & wine selection for ale lovers. The rooms were fairly small but had everything you'd need. The one minus point I'd give was the curtains that had been removed from one window meaning a lack of privacy to one side of the room but given all the other pluses, this was a minor detail. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff and rooms quite well presented. Food good in the evening, but limited choice of breakfast for those not wanting cooked. The single room was comfortable and the shower excellent, however the ensuite was tiny overall. Improvements to bedroom light would be appreciated to ease working at desk.
