Out in the country, but only 10 minutes from Dortmund, the hotel is a god option with a pool / sauna and solarium (not used). Most of the staff speak some English, and were helpful and friendly. Most guests are German, using the hotel for leisure. We didn't see much of Dortmund so cannot comment on that. The restaurant and bar served hearty German food and there were several other restaurants and Inns nearby. Rooms were not huge but certainly adequate. The bathroom was fine and spotless. There is a river nearby ( 1 km ) which is used for boating, etc. Overall, if you are passing through, a good option. We stayed 3 nights and paid between £48 to £68 per night, with breakfast.
