The hotel lobby was nice open clean. The rooms were basic the bathroom was something to be desired very old looking and gloomy. The cold water was warm no matter how long you ran it. The breakfast was good. The location wasn't that convenient to get into amsterdam a 10 minute train ride no trams were available. The trains only run till 1am and for a city that never sleeps this was not very good there are night bus' but these take 45 minutes. On a whole it was cheap for amsterdam and there is parking just outside opposite is a police station so pretty safe and i expected it to be not the best hotel but i have stayed in a lot better for £22 a person a good £10 cheaper than this hotel. |

After waiting a full 30 mins to check in ( no system of queing in place ) i was given no help as to where or how to use the parking machines or of the hotel facilities. The room although cleanish had stained carpets and smelt dirty the shower was also dirty. On the evening that i stayed i booked a taxi with reception as was left sat half an hour in the foyer and when i questioned the reception i was told that this was a normal waiting time, so i cancelled and was then told that i had missed the hotel food at 21.00. Every time you leave the hotel youi have to leave your keys and then wait another 30 mins to get it back from reception. I have stayed in many a hotel but would never stay here again and will warn people of it as i have never stayed in such a badly run hotel. |

hotel casa 400 was reasonably good. It was nothing special and the rooms were in need of serious decoration. Breakfast also ok although there never seemed to be any fresh tea or coffee apart from that left on the table for quite some considerable time. The staff were pleasant. It was convenient for the station and trams. To sum up Hotel Casa 400 in one word - adequate. |
