A bit far from Coniston, dont stay if you dont have transport. If you do (a car/bike) then this is perfect. beautiful with a good breakfast and friendly staff. |

After reading the other reviews this hotel was just what we expected. The dinning was relaxed and an opportunity to get to know other guests. As a vegetarian, I was able to book the evening meal on arrival, good food. The breakfast included a very wide choice including vegi sausages. |

Wonderful location overlooking lake - warm welcome - sociable assembly of walkers - outstanding cooking and choice of food - good value - only niggle: any noise from adjacent rooms easily heard and intrusive. |
