Mixed feelings about this place. Its got a good location though not very glamorous. Its a little tired, was probably great 10 years ago but needs a total overhaul. Reception/front desk is clean and smart but its the rooms that are shabby especially the bathrooms . The reservations guy that i dealt with via email.Daniel, was a star but the front desk staff seemed rather disinterested and bored dealing with guests. On arrival u usually get a cheery hello and welcome at any hotel but not here, its a rather feeble and weak greeting so u immediately feel disappointed. If u love steak then u have try their restaurant, we had the best steaks we have ever had ! they were like something outta the Flintstones but tender and totally delicious for their mammoth size. Its a bit of a businessy type restaurant so quite low on ambiance. |

Great location, just off Madison Avenue and near to Fifth Avenue, Empire State Building & Grand Central Station. The Hotel was covered in scaffolding and work commenced about 9.30 am each morning. The staff were very friendly, small hotel room , but clean and house keeping attended daily. We stayed on a room only basis so did not eat in the hotel ,but the restaurant always looked busy. If your after a centrally located boutique hotel at a reasonable price then the Dylan is for you. |

We used the Airport bus from JFK and drops you outside the hotel, very handy, and Grand Central is round the corner, great for the subway. |
