Made to feel second class by receptionist on arrival, because we booked via the Late Rooms web site, on enquiring if we could change our booking from room only, as offered, to B & B. "Oh! b and b not available as we booked via Late Rooms. No warm greeting no enquiries regarding journey and on booking out, no "did you enjoy your stay" etc.
Service lift, nearby very noisy.
Nice hotel, shame about certain staff.
Price for meals seemed very high. We did our eating elsewhere.
We liked Barnstaple where other staff we came across, could not have been more friendly and helpful.

The room was noisy- both from water tank, doors slamming in corridor and noise of cistern from adjacent room.

the rooms are VERY warm. With no heating on, the window open and the room fan on full the room still felt like a sauna! Other than that, a very pleasant hotel and served our purpose.
