Nagoya Country House

Lovely place, great location, very friendly staff!

The hotel was in a great location, literally only 3 minutes walk into the centre of Bowness but in a quiet position in a cul-de-sac with private parking. There are lots of steep steps from the main road up to the hotel so be prepared after a night out as you may need a break half way up if you are as fit as me!
We stayed in the enormous family room which is great for kids. We had a pull out double sofabed as well as a large living area and dining area. Breakfast was brought down to us in our room which was lovely as we could overlook the lake through the patio doors. There was a fridge, cereals and a toaster in our room so we could just help ourselves. Breakfast was only served from 8.30am until 9am though, which we found slightly inflexible.
If I had to be negative, then the bathroom, although large, was a little dated and unfortunately didn't have a shower, only a bath. The toilet was also very noisy as it was on a saniflow system, so you couldn't flush during the night without waking everybody up.
Overall though, the size, facilities and location of this hotel outweigh the early breakfast and lack of shower.
